ABOUT US

Hey, y'all, I like my clients to be friends, so here is a little info about me, your new friend! I grew up in a military family, living in places all over the world until the fam settled down just outside Washington, DC. My Korean mother taught me the importance of treating all people with kindness, the value of hard work, and an appreciation of good food! She was always feeding the entire neighborhood, and I like to think I have carried on that tradition.

My husband Brent and I love to entertain, and he truly is my best friend! We met the old fashion way (in a bar!) and have been inseparable ever since. I proposed to him on the rooftop of The Chicory with a ring-pop the same day the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage! I believe I later ate the ring-pop…

Before I started my own business, I worked for a local New Orleans wedding florist, where I learned the industry I love! I noticed the market really needed a florist to cater to those small to medium-sized weddings who still wanted quality products and service without any pressure to keep up with the Joneses! I strive to fill that void while making sure my clients have fun! Because wedding planning should be fun!

Fun is a lifestyle here in New Orleans, and I have tried to embrace that since I moved here over a decade ago! Whether it's dance parties at work or Real Housewives marathons at home with my fur babies, laissez les bon temps rouler!

BRENT BOGAN

I'm so excited to finally be joining my husband and the Herbivore team!  I was born and raised in New Orleans where I went to St. Catherine of Siena, Brother Martin and UNO. I majored in Communications with a dream of entering Broadcast Journalism. Since that didn't pay anything, I decided to enter the world of event planning.

I have been in event planning for close to 20 years.  I started in small events, moved on to convention and sporting events planning, did some time in the non-profit world in DC, and upon moving back to New Orleans, I got involved in the wedding game.

I have spent the last 10 years in high-end wedding venue sales, where I was recognized by The Knot Worldwide and was asked to be an ambassador for their brand for 2 years in a row.  I have done wedding podcasts, written articles for wedding magazines, and even had the pleasure of having my own wedding published in multiple outlets.

I am over the moon about being on the design and creative side of the business in the floral arena!  I look forward to working one on one with our couples to help create the most memorable day of their lives!  I mean, 2 gays, flowers, a fabulous little dinosaur as our mascot, an incomparable staff, and a couple of glasses of Rose'...we're ready to rule the world! :)

THE TEAM

James - Production Coordinator

James spends his time at work running the warehouse, doing any on-site installs (especially any ladder work) and being our resident fix-it guy! When he isn't at work, he is driving around in the most colorful van in NOLA and listening to experimental music.

Jennifer - Operations Coordinator

Jennifer runs the office with an iron fist (at least she likes to think so). She keeps everyone on track, handling client coordination and any and all scheduling, while covering the office in neon sticky notes. Outside of the office, Jennifer is getting her master's degree from Tulane
